John: Is there any particular reason why The Resistance seems to have maybe connected on a wider level than previous records? Cause it’s not like you guys just started doing this music thing. Matthew: It might be the timing with everything all that’s happening with Egypt and there’s been a lot of change going on with the world in the last year and a half. The song Uprising is pretty much about an uprising. It seems to have just been at the right place at the right time with that song, you know? John: Speaking of that and not to get too serious, but have you been paying attention to everything going on over there and uh, is it hopeful, is it inspiring to you? Matthew: Yeah! It shows the government is not all powerful, you know? It shows that people can still ban together and make changes if they want to. It’s a good thing.
