vote—saxon: thirty days of doctor who: day one which regeneration of the doctor would you most want to meet and why? there being eleven doctors and the fact that i love them all equally, this is a really difficult question. so i chose three. first: the cliché answer, i want to meet eleven. eleven is who i consider “my doctor,” because while he wasn’t the first doctor i watched (that being nine), he was the first one i really cared about. as much as i love the RTD era, i think steven moffat brings to doctor who the feeling it had with the classic series. eleven is moffat’s doctor, and eleven is all of his other regenerations thrown into one big ball of child-like playfulness and infinite wisdom. eleven is an old man in a young man’s body, and matt smith shows that really well. second: i’d like to meet four. the fourth doctor is what most people think of when they think of classic who, and he’s much the same as eleven in that he’s both old and young at the same time. he does what he wants to do when he wants to do it. third: i’d like to meet five. i haven’t actually watched any five episodes yet, but he wears celery.
